Hello all. I’m a relatively new Christian and I’ve created this blog to do a few things. First, to help others understand what we believe. Second, to help me personally keep up with my devotion to reading the Bible, understanding it, and following it’s truths. Third, to explore the harder things to grasp from the Bible and how they still relate to us daily. And also, to review reading materials that I am currently studying about our faith. I hope this will be a help to others, either growing in God’s Word or looking for answers to the way we view the world. Some of the things I express here are not reflective of the Church I attend.
Hello: My wife is reading Harbinger and I’m reading the Bible. She got to the section in the book about Tom Daschle’s 09/12/2001 speech on the floor of the House where he referenced Isaiah and my wife asked me to read it from the Bible. Then I looked up his speech and found your blog. We were curious who you are but it appears that you are like we are, an American citizen who is faithful to the Bible and is searching for his faith? Am I correct? I really liked what you have done here. Kevin
Hey Kevin, I haven’t read the book, Harbinger yet. But now that I see it’s from Jonathan Cahn, I think I’ll give it a read. Great to hear you are reading the Bible… opening God’s Word after you are saved really sheds some light on why the world is this way. You are right, I’m just like you and your wife… an Christian who is faithful to the Bible (at least I pray to be); and an American citizen. I really love this country and the freedom we have here. I’m also an artist and a graphic designer. While in college (and lost), I was taught extensively about symbols, their meanings and how to apply them. I also have a thing for history. After I started really studying the Bible (almost 3 years ago), I started noticing that something was really wrong with the world. And, God really calls it all out through His Word. At first it really freaked me out. Then I realized this is just the way it’s been for a very long time. There’s nothing new under the sun, right?
So what do we do about it? I could freak other people out about brainwashing coming from music, movies, the news and so forth; or, scream from the rooftops about prophesy coming to pass. Or… I could try to help provide some answers and encourage others to share their faith in Jesus Christ. I thought it would be hard to speak with others about Jesus; but, people have questions and it’s up to us to provide answers with love. Everyone believes in something, even the atheist. It’s time for us to speak up.
